A New Year

It has finally arrived…

2020 was a turbulent and painful year for many, and, as we typically do, we look forward to a new year with hope and excitement. The start of this new year will not magically fix our troubles, but it does present us with an opportunity- an opportunity to choose a new mindset.

What will your 2021 mindset be? Will it be one that is easily influenced by your circumstances? Or will it be one with an unshakeable foundation of faith and determination?

I can not tell you what this year holds for us. But I can tell you this- God is in control. God wants us to prosper and live in health and wholeness. We need to hold on to His promises, and we need to speak those promises over our lives and over the lives of our loved ones. The enemy has been rampaging lately-and it is time for us to put an end to it. We need to pray, we need to believe, and we need to act in accordance with the Word of God.

I am praying for each of you, and I am believing for a great year!

A New Year!!!

Welcome to 2020!

Today is both the start of a new year and the start of a new decade! I hope you had a nice New Year’s Eve, and I pray that this new year will start off smoothly for you!

The beginning of a new year is often a time when people decide on what changes they want to make in their lives. I encourage this tradition, but I also want to add two things to it.

  1. It can be difficult to stick to one’s New Year’s resolutions, and I know that many resolutions are never met. This can lead to a feeling of guilt and/or depression. So what I encourage you to do when you are planning your life changes is to think of the things, no matter how small, that you have successfully changed in your life.
  2. Striving to meet your New Year’s resolutions alone is the hardest way to go about it. I encourage you to work with the Lord in order to meet your goals and to find fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who can help you stay strong.

If you need prayer for staying with your New Year’s resolutions, please leave a comment and I, and hopefully those who follow and read this blog, will be praying for you!
