It’s Day 13 of the 21-Day Mental and Spiritual Health Series!
Most of my posts up to this point have discussed the elements that can be detrimental to our mental and spiritual health. Today, I want to talk about the Fruits of the Spirit. When we live our lives exhibiting the Fruit of the Spirit, we actively walk in the power of the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Fruits of the Spirit (according to Galatians 5:22-23 ESV) are as follows:
♦~♦ Love ♦~♦
♦~♦ Joy ♦~♦
♦~♦ Peace ♦~♦
♦~♦ Patience ♦~♦
♦~♦ Kindness ♦~♦
♦~♦ Goodness ♦~♦
♦~♦ Faithfulness ♦~♦
♦~♦ Gentleness ♦~♦
♦~♦ Self-Control ♦~♦
Making the conscious decision to walk in each of these attitudes daily will be an incredible boost for our mental and spiritual health. I cannot promise that it will be easy, only that it will help us to lead our best lives and will improve our relationship with the Lord and with others.
Scriptures for Today’s Post
1 Peter 4:8 (ESV)- Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
1 Thessalonians 4:4 (ESV)- That each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,
2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)- For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Thank you for your great love for me. I pray that I will have the strength and wisdom to live my life in alignment with your will. I desire to honor your commands, Lord, and I decree and declare that I will operate in the Fruits of the Spirit even when it proves difficult. Father, every day is a new day, and I pray that each day I will grow closer and closer to you.
In Jesus’ mighty name I pray,
