It’s Day 10 of the 21-Day Mental and Spiritual Health Series!
Now that we have discussed lies about ourselves, lies about others, and lies about God, we have come to the final category- lies about creation.
There are certain lies that we may come to believe about creation that will have a significant impact on our lives as Christians and on our mental and spiritual health. Dispelling the lies and replacing them with the truth will help us see the world around us clearly, and it will destroy a means by which the Enemy might try to influence us. Below are a few of the lies that we may believe about creation and the truths that can replace them.
Lie: Some animals are demonic.
Truth: Some animals are used in cultic and demonic curses and spells and in witchcraft, but even then, it is often the qualities of the animal rather than the animal itself. Even if there is a particular animal often tied to the demonic kingdom- that does not mean the animal is, in itself, demonic. It is important that we break the power of any curses spoken over particular animals, but we need not fear or label any animal as “evil”. God created all things, and He said that they were good. We must not give credit to any of the Enemy’s corruptive works.
Lie: We have no influence over natural events.
Truth: When Jesus died on the cross and rose again, we received our salvation, but we also received power and authority. We can operate in the power and authority that Jesus had when He was on earth. This means that we can, in fact, influence our natural surroundings- weather, mountains, water, fire, and more.
Lie: Natural disasters are a sign of God’s anger.
Truth: God’s wrath and anger were poured out on Jesus. Natural disasters are now tools of the Enemy.
This post is the fourth and final post on the specific topic of lies. All lies can lead to serious consequences, and we must be diligent to dispel any lies that we believe and replace them with God’s truth.
Scriptures for Today’s Post
Genesis 1:21 (ESV)- So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Mark 4:39 (ESV)- And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Isaiah 4:6 (ESV)- There will be a booth for shade by day from the heat, and for a refuge and a shelter from the storm and rain.
You are great, and mighty, and you are worthy of all praise! I pray, Lord, please reveal to me the lies that I believe about creation and help me to replace those lies with your truth. I desire to have a clear knowledge and understanding of all that you have made. I decree and declare that my mental and spiritual health continues to improve each day, and I stand in expectation for abundant revelation and blessing.
In Jesus’ mighty name I pray,
