It’s Day 5 of the 21-Day Mental and Spiritual Health Series!
Yesterday, I discussed the impact that external situations and circumstances can have on one’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Today, I would like to discuss negative situations and circumstances specifically.
In life, we will always experience negative situations. They are practically unavoidable.
However, even though we will experience negative situations and circumstances, that does not mean that we have to be negatively impacted by them or that we have to react negatively. When in darkness- we must be the light.
To be the light in a dark situation- we must carefully choose to think and act in a positive and responsible manner regardless of what is going on around us. This will bring about the best results for ourselves and for others.
Tomorrow, I will discuss potential spiritual and natural consequences for giving in to the negative influences of bad situations and circumstances.
Scriptures for Today’s Post
Romans 8:28 (ESV)- And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Philippians 4:11-12 (ESV)- Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.
I know that I will face many different situations throughout my life. I pray for wisdom and revelation for every situation and for the strength to think and act in accordance to your will. I pray that I will clearly hear the Holy Spirit’s guidance. My life is in your hands, Lord, and I choose to trust in you.
In Jesus’ mighty name I pray,
