When thoughts come
That pester you
Acting like an endless, irritating hum
And you know they’re not true
What do you do?
♦~♦
Do you run
And distract yourself with all your might?
Or are you not done
Until you challenge the thought and fight?
When thoughts come
That pester you
Acting like an endless, irritating hum
And you know they’re not true
What do you do?

Do you run
And distract yourself with all your might?
Or are you not done
Until you challenge the thought and fight?
There are many scriptures in the Bible that tell us not to be afraid. I have included a number of them below (from the AMP version).
(2 Timothy 1:7)- For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
(Isaiah 35:4)- Say to those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance; with the recompense of God He will come and save you.
(John 14:27)- Peace I [Jesus] leave with you; My peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
(Joshua 1:9)- Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
(Psalms 23:4)- Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
(Psalms 27:1)- The Lord is my Light and my Salvation- whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?

I found the chapter/verse of the scriptures at the following web-page
(https://www.biblestudytools.com/topical-verses/fear-bible-verses/ )
and posted the translation from my personal Bible (The Everyday Life Bible which contains notes and commentary by Joyce Meyer). If you want to see more scriptures that discuss fear, I recommend taking a look at the full list!

Scriptures like the ones I have included in this post are true for you today and every day. You do not need to fear!
We are the children of the One True God, and He calls us His own! We never have to be afraid because we can always call upon our Heavenly Father. When fear tries to creep in, that is an attempt of the enemy to break us down and drive a wedge between us and God. Our raw humanity is all too eager to cling onto fear rather than trust in the Lord . We cannot allow fear to overtake us! We do not want even a single seed of fear in our minds!
When you feel fear or worry coming on, think about how much God loves you and how you can trust Him to take care of every situation!
It is also very beneficial to talk to the Lord/Holy Spirit and read the Bible!
As your sibling in Christ, I want you to live your best blessed life! I hope this discussion of the challenging question I posted a few days ago has helped you!
Feel free to comment, and please share this post with people you know who could benefit from it!
Playing with love
Is like playing with fire
♦~♦
We can feel warm and cozy
But the consequences can be quite dire
♦~♦
Anyone who says that love is a game
Is certainly a dangerous liar
♦~♦
Love is deep
And has roots like thorny briers
♦~♦
It can be very beautiful and grand
Or as dark and confused as a mire
♦~♦
We have the love of God, our Heavenly Father,
And no love is higher
♦~♦
His love is captivating
Like the music of a lyre
♦~♦
We must guard the love in our hearts
And not lightly grant it to the first buyer
♦~♦
But we can deeply love our Lord
And let our love reach heavenward like a spire
Standing still
Unmoving
Unfeeling
Is our doom
♦~♦
We must press on
Partnered with the Son
♦~♦
Don’t look back at the past
And regret what did not last
♦~♦
Remember the old
As lessons for today
And keep moving onwards
A new year is coming soon! What new steps can you take to grow your relationship with the Lord in 2020?
We all experience winter
In different ways
♦~♦
Some may feel a chill in the air
Others may experience weather more fair
♦~♦
A winter of the heart
Can sting like icy darts
Or create a slow, dull rhythm
♦~♦
A winter season of life
May seem bleak
It may make you feel
Frozen and weak
♦~♦
We all know winter
In our unique ways
What kind of winter are you facing today?
As Christians, we have to be very careful when we play in the dirt of this world. When we speak poorly of people, break our promises, use rude language, or engage in other activities that we know the Lord would disapprove of, we walk further and further away from our Heavenly Father. The Lord will not smite you, and you will (typically) remain saved (unless you choose to stop believing in Jesus), but you will not be walking in all that God wants for you. So remember, though it may be fun to be a part of the world, we are to distinguish ourselves as children of the Most High God and to walk along the perfect path God has created for each of us.
Each of us has a special gift
Given to us by the Lord
Some use it as God designed
While others have different goals to move toward
♦~♦
You may not know your gifting
Or may not believe you have one
But be assured,
When you walk with Him
Things in your life will start shifting
And your gift will be revealed
♦~♦
The enemy wants to destroy your gift
He wants to leave you empty and broken
But God has spoken!
You are His child
And the devil can create no rift
That the Lord cannot heal!
♦~♦
Walk in confidence and joy
You will not succumb to any demonic ploy!
God will be with you
He will reveal your gift
And His perfect plan
Your heart He will continually renew!
Do you believe that you truly never have to be afraid as long as you are walking with the Lord?
So quiet
The whispers
They imitate the truth
So I can’t deny it
♦~♦
Words from the enemy
They try to slip in
They try to anger and confuse me
They tempt me to sin
♦~♦
Where can I find respite?
I am so desperate
To rid myself of the dark darts
That exist only to break hearts
♦~♦
I come to you Lord
Show me an escape
That you can guide me toward
That will lead me to peace!
♦~♦
He shows me the cross and the kingdom’s keys
He shows me what He sees
That they represent
All the power I’ll ever need!
